During indoor recess the kids have options.  They can be in the hallway either drawing, playing board game or building with a variety of blocks or cubes.  Kids can also stay in the classroom to watch a video, a bookflix, "do jobs" for the teachers or read quietly.  These kids chose to get creative in the hallway.

Indoor recess helpers - much appreciated by the teachers!

One sunny afternoon we had "spring fever."  We just had to get outside to build a snowman right in front of our classroom window!  Unfortunately, the snow wasn't sticky enough to create big snowballs so we moved to "Plan B."  Here is our version of a sand castle - it's our "snow castle."  We made two big ones with moats, tunnels and a connecting bridge with heart shaped decorations.  It was so much fun to connect our hands through the tunnels!

 Reader's Theatre Action...
On this day a couple guided reading groups did a quick reading for the class.  They did a great job!  The rest of the class also practice their "best behavior" audience skills.  We enjoyed it so much that everyone is going to start a reader's theatre project after spring break.  Watch for more pictures to come!
